IIT Hyderabad Scholarships
IIT Hyderabad offers two main scholarships: the Merit-cum-Means (MCM) Scholarship and the ST/SC Scholarship. The MCM Scholarship is designated for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC students with a parental income limit of Rs. 4.5 Lakhs. Recipients must maintain an SGPA/CGPA of 7.0 and receive Rs. 1,000 monthly pocket money.
On the other hand, the ST/SC Scholarship is aimed at SC/ST students who meet the same income limit and academic criteria. They receive Rs. 250 monthly pocket money and fee refunds. Both scholarships mandate the submission of Income Tax Returns for the previous year, and students can only avail of one scholarship.
Additionally, the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a common electronic platform for various scholarship schemes launched by the Union Government, State Government, and Union Territories nationwide.
Furthermore, the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC), operating under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, aims to offer financial assistance through the Education Loan Scheme to meritorious ST students facing admission challenges due to financial constraints.
