IIT Indore: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore is a leading institute located in Madhya Pradesh. Often known as IIT Indore or IITI, it was established by the Government of India in 2009. This institution is one of the eight new IITs initiated by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Initially, IIT Indore operated from a temporary campus at the Institute of Engineering and Technology of Devi Ahilya University, under the guidance of IIT Bombay, starting from the academic year 2009-10.
The permanent campus, covering an area of approximately 501.42 acres (2.1 km2), was laid by Shri Arjun Singh, the Union HRD Minister, on February 17, 2009, at Simrol. It is situated about 25 km from the city of Indore along Khandwa Road.
Since February 2016, IIT Indore has been functioning from its permanent campus. All administrative offices, material management, finance, schools for various subjects like Basic Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering, and labs for both Basic Sciences and Engineering are established within this campus. The Central Library is also located here.

IIT Indore Admission Overview
IIT Indore Admissions for the year 2024 will commence in June. The institute's flagship program is the BTech degree. Admission to the B.Tech program at IIT Indore is determined primarily by the JEE Advanced rank, with subsequent counseling through JoSAA.
Besides the BTech program, IIT Indore offers undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), and doctoral courses, including B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, and PhD.
